[US-Kent, WA] Blue Origin - Fluid Dynamic Analyst

As part of a passionate and accomplished team of engineers, you will work within the fluid dynamics analysis team of the Blue Origin Engines group. Primary responsibilities will be focused on fluid dynamic analyses of turbomachinery applications using computational fluid dynamics, but will also include additional analyses of other combustion devices components such as valves, manifolds, nozzles, etc.

You will support integrated product teams through all phases of engine development from conceptual and detailed design, to test.  This is a unique opportunity to become a fluid dynamics expert.

Responsibilities:

• High fidelity fluid dynamic analysis of inducers, impellers, seals, and turbines
• CAD manipulation, grid generation, model setup, and post processing of CFD analyses
• Presentation and communication of analysis results to team members and leadership. Your job will be to interpret analysis results, determine confidence in those results, and explain them to team members.
• Documentation of fluid dynamic design and analysis tools and processes

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 2+ years of experience with CFD for turbomachinery applications
• Ability to work effectively in teams
• Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
