Natural Power's Advisory & Analytics (A&A) business unit is made up of a diverse range of engineers, advisors, project managers and analysts with unique experience advising on renewable energy projects. The fast-paced, international team is actively involved in providing a wide range of analysis services considering projects in development and operation across the globe.
Duties And Responsibilities
We are looking for an Energy Analyst to join our UK team to support and manage the delivery of a suite of analysis services to our diverse client base, including:
appraisal of wind data
conducting flow modelling
layout optimisation and design
site classification studies and conducting energy yield calculations based on SCADA and mast/remote sensing data sources
Being a team player is key to the role, as are strong communication and interpersonal skills as the role will involve collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders globally. A keen eye for detail you will have a basic understanding of data processing principles and will be highly organised in order to effectively manage on-going deadlines in collaboration with the wider team. Delivery of assigned tasks and projects within defined timescales and budgets, in addition to collaborating with research and development groups to support the roll out of new tools and methods, are key requirements.

Essential
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in either a mathematics, physics, meteorology or engineering field with strong statistical and data processing skills
Strong organisational, time management and work prioritisation skills to meet deadlines
Adaptable and flexible in general approach to meet delivery requirements
A good command of English with excellent communication skills
Desirable
Understanding of statistics
Project management experience
Experience of the renewable energy industry, specifically in wind energy assessment and/or SCADA systems
MATLAB, Python, SQL or other programming skills
Proven track record within a consultancy environment
CFD flow modelling experience
