Job Summary
The senior CFD engineer will lead the development of cutting edge computational fluid dynamics capabilities within a corporate Network of Excellence team. The ideal candidate will work within a global team to develop and apply new technologies to significantly improve speed to market, cost, and provide business value to Trane Technologies. The senior engineer also needs to work with other teams to develop multi-physics and 1D-3D capabilities with reasonable costs. The candidate should be able to code with knowledge of physics and comfortably use commercial software to solve engineering problems.

Responsibilities
1. Understand project requirements, collaborate with project owners, leaders & cross functional teams across the globe for delivery of projects, by adhering to BOS standards.
2. Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D), Project cost (C) & Product cost (C), track performance and progress of project against committed QDC targets.
3. Deep understanding of the fluid flow and heat transfer with previous experience in multiphase flow, combustion including combustion noise. Has coding skills to independently program flow analysis. Expert level using commercial software including fluent, CFX, FloEFD and UDF to solve flow and thermal problems.
4. Lead project with minimal guidance and publish the monthly report.
5. Lead/Assist Annual Operating Planning (AOP) discussions with respective SBUs
6. A good communicator to keep manager and stakeholder aware of the project progress and risks.
Qualifications
1. MS degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics) or PhD degree
2. 5+ years’ experience in flow simulation field
3. Fluent, StarCCM+, CFX, and other commercial software experience
4. Structural, vibration, and acoustics knowledge is a plus
